KINDERGARTEN VS CENTER FOR DEVELOPMENT

Experts are sure that it is not advisable to send children to kindergarten earlier than 3-4 years, as this can lead to more serious consequences than it seems at first glance. Naturally, you can say that this applies only to kindergartens. And in the development centers of the baby you can safely drive, starting from an early age. Is this really so, and how do classes in the development center differ from classes in kindergarten? We’ll talk about this today.

Kindergarten VS Development Center

In modern society, young parents for the most part try to attach a baby to educational organizations at a fairly early age – 1.5-2 years.

Often this is due to financial need, since mothers have to go to work ahead of schedule in order to be able to feed their baby elementarily. However, there are also such mothers who see in preschool institutions almost the only way to socialize and comprehensive development of the child. At the same time, they put forward such arguments as “The child needs full communication with peers” and “The kid is bored at home”.

We must say right away that such statements are more a desire to relieve oneself of responsibility and free up time for personal needs than a manifestation of concern. According to psychologists, the only reason a child at such an early age may really need a kindergarten is the dysfunction of his family, regardless of whether it has a financial or psychological background.

But first, let’s find out why it is not advisable to send a child to kindergarten before he reaches 3-4 years of age.

WHAT HAZARDS ARE KIDDEN IN THE KINDERGARTEN?

First of all, parting with a mother for an entire day for a young child is always stressful. When mother leaves, it seems to the child that he was abandoned, left with a “strange aunt.” Of course, over time, he begins to get used to the fact that mom always comes back for him. The child calms down and it seems that everything is in order, but do not forget that the psyche of the kids is very vulnerable, and the initial stress from parting with the mother can seriously affect the child’s nervous system. Moreover, this can manifest itself even after several years.

As for communication with peers, the benefits of which many mothers speak in their defense, it is important to understand that until the age of 3, children still do not know how to communicate in groups. Thus, spending time in the kindergarten group is not useful, since the child is lost and can not choose a suitable role for himself. Usually, children play in pairs, clearly distributing activities among themselves. As soon as the third child appears, the game ceases and conflicts begin. You can observe a similar situation yourself when your child plays in the sandbox – this is absolutely natural.

Another popular argument in favor of kindergarten is “he is bored with me”. This is utter nonsense. In any case, the child is interested in mom – he observes her actions, helps, tries on various social roles. And this is no less important for the development of the child than developmental games, which just dilute the daily leisure.

In addition, very often young mothers complain that since the child went to the garden, he has been constantly sick. There is nothing surprising. The immunity of the child in the first years of life is rather weak, and children very easily pick up various infections from each other. In older children, the immune system becomes stronger, and adapt to the kindergarten in terms of health is much easier for them. This does not mean that 3-year-old children do not get sick, but their body resistance is still higher.

KINDERGARTEN ADVANTAGES
But do not think that kindergarten is a complete evil. If you decide to send the mouse to a preschool at the age of 3-4, then the kindergarten can become a real assistant. In particular, in a preschool, the child will understand what is:

independence – practice has shown that even those children who do not know how to use cutlery correctly, observe personal hygiene or dress themselves, acquire self-care skills literally in two to three months of visiting a kindergarten;
interaction skills – a child’s environment teaches a child to interact with other children, taking into account common interests: he learns to wait in line, share, moderate his desires, etc. This is especially important if the child is the only one in the family.
development – the program of kindergarten classes, as a rule, covers all areas that help the child develop harmoniously: speech development, the basics of arithmetic, modeling.
